USAF Case Studies

The Department of Defense (DoD) has mandated its branches to create a common vocabulary and data structure for use in force projection planning, and Evanhoe & Associates is currently leading the Air Force’s effort to develop a software application meeting this mandate. The application has established a joint-level force structure vocabulary and data structure, standardizing it across the Air Force and making the data visible, accessible, and understandable. The Air Force needs to meet a Department of Defense (DoD) mandate to provide Unique Identification (UID) markings on all Air Force assets, and Evanhoe & Associates is currently a contractor providing Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) solutions across the Air Force inventory process to aid in meeting this mandate. The Air Force Logistics, Installation, and Mission Support business areas needed to unite all of their Business Intelligence (BI) information into a single, enterprise-wide software application, and Evanhoe & Associates served as a subcontractor in support of Lockheed Martin’s effort to develop this integrated BI environment. The application offers a single entry point on the Air Force Portal, and hosts a variety of BI capabilities in a flexible, dynamic SOA environment. It supports reporting and analysis using scorecards and dashboards, and provides predictive analysis capabilities to all levels of users, ensuring delivery of “One Version of the Truth” to warfighters across the Air Force. The U.S. Air Force needed to migrate two antiquated analytics reporting applications, the WSMIS/RAM and SAV systems, to a newer application in order to provide more current supply deficiency and maintenance information to key personnel. Evanhoe & Associates, working as a subcontractor on the Lockheed Martin team, assisted in the creation of the Mission Capability (MICAP)/Awaiting Parts (AWP) Analysis application in GCSS-AF Data Services and migrated data from the former systems, enabling Air Force analysts to find all of these metrics at a single source. Department of Commerce

A legal counsel organization in the Department of Commerce required an enterprise data management solution (EDMS) to improve their efficiency and foster collaboration across the organization. Evanhoe & Associates, as a member of prime contractor Digital Prospectors Corporation’s (DPC) team, conducted interviews to define and document the requirements for the EDMS. Evanhoe & Associates’ focus and attention proved so successful during the requirements gathering activity that the legal organization issued a supplemental contract to provide for continued support by key Evanhoe & Associates’ personnel during the implementation of the EDMS.
