Case
Study
A large international
financial organization was using an antiquated system for supplies replenishment
for its' statement processing system. It was also performing quality assurance
validation using hand written reports and keeping hardcopies for further review
and analysis.
We provided a state of the
art supply replenishment system utilizing wireless scanners to send data to a
central PC to generate supplies requests and print shipping labels, using a
wireless network, to a Toshiba B-SX4 label printer located in another part of
the processing center. As a part of this system we log supplies requests for
analysis of trends and supplies usage.
We automated the QA process
with Denso BHT-200 portable data terminals which analyze the statement barcode,
resolving the data matrix with a remote database for validation of the contents
of the statement, and then logging the detailed analysis, complete with
timestamps, operator, and inspector information. This has improved their ability
to QA audit statements by over 200%, while providing electronic data and
reporting capabilities never before available to them.
