Description

The Senior .Net Developer will be responsible for following the steps involved in the life cycle of software development. Creates and executes unit test plans, which could include integration, performance, and/or systems testing. Will provide guidance to others by reviewing work and providing recommendations for design, coding or testing approach, which could include conducting or participating in code walk-throughs or other methods to ensure code quality. Uses experience and imagination to apply the concepts of software program/application development methodology and life cycle to solving business related problems. Works on problems of diverse scope and high complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Provides solutions for improving processes and procedures, and will function as an escalation point and/or training resource for less experienced Programmers. Product Delivery teams practice an Agile development methodology. Candidates who have experience working in Agile and documenting requirements are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET.
  • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
  • Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
  • Investigate and develop skills in new technologies.

Requirements

  • Candidates would possess 5+ years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology, or related discipline, which could include Computer Science, Information Systems (IS) or Management Information Systems (MIS). In lieu of a degree, 12+ years related work experience will be expected.

  • SQL Server 2012 and above
  • Qualification to receive the IAT Level II is desired (CompTia Security +)

Description

Duties include planning, directing, controlling, organizing, and coordinating the work activity of personnel involved in all aspects of this contract; implementing a quality assurance program to insure services and products conform to applicable standards; formulating statements of management and technical problems; evaluating proposed computer systems to determine technical feasibility, implementation costs, operation costs, and functional adequacy.

Requirements

  • Shall have experience in large MIS development. For the purpose of this document, large MIS is defined as a system generally analogous to one containing approximately five hundred or more programs supporting in the vicinity of a million lines of code.
    Shall have experience in managing a team composed of systems programmers, systems engineers, software engineers, and other MIS personnel when designing and implementing a large complex management information system.
  • shall have a minimum of fifteen years of progressively more difficult information management systems experience as a manager of complex system software development including multi-faceted information systems operations.
