Evanhoe & Associates was pleased to be exhibiting within the AIM (Automatic Identification and Mobility) pavilion with several other AIM members.

Chuck Evanhoe Elected Chairman of AIM, Inc.

In recognition of his outstanding leadership for the organization, AIM Inc., the international trade association for the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) community, has elected Chuck Evanhoe as the Chairman of their Board of Directors. Chuck is a local entrepreneur and expert in AIDC technologies, and the current owner and president of Evanhoe & Associates, Inc. AIM, Inc. is also known as AIM Global and as the Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility.
Chuck has served on many AIDC standards organizations, including as Chairman of the AIM North America board and, for the past two years, as a member of the board for AIM Global. Since last fall, Chuck has worked as the Vice-Chairman of the AIM Global Board, and as of May 1, 2011, he succeeded Dr. Clive Hohberger, of Zebra Technologies, as Board Chairman, sitting at the helm of an industry trade organization with members across the globe. The AIM board chairman serves a one-year term and is succeeded by the vice-chairman the following year.
In a letter to members of the AIM Global Board, staff, and other stakeholders, Dr. Hohberger wrote, “While Chuck has only been vice-chairman since last fall, he has effectively been in the job two years. I know that he is fully ready to bring the kind of continuing involved leadership that will be essential to our success in moving AIM forward towards global industry leadership.”
Chuck will combine his years of experience on the AIM Global Board of Directors with his work as chairman of the AIM Expo, as he leads the organization to even further success. “My goal is to connect the global AIDC community by providing leadership for standards and education efforts that are needed for economic competitiveness within our industry,” Chuck said. “I will continue working to grow AIM’s global reputation as a technology thought leader and the ‘go to’ organization for the industry.”
As Chairman, Chuck will provide guidance and leadership for AIM’s many advocacy and education activities, such as acting as policy advocates for AIDC standards, providing AIDC industry news to policy makers and the media, and hosting AIM Expo, an annual conference for Auto ID and mobile IT solutions.
